Mission Statement

The Colorado Athletic Trainers' Association, Secondary Schools Committee, is dedicated to advancing the safety and well-being of high school student athletes across Colorado. Our mission is to provide best practice information, resources, and support to secondary school athletic trainers and communities.

Become the primary information source for secondary school athletic trainers

Promoting all secondary school athletic trainers to utilize best practices in standards of care under the Colorado Practice Act.

Encourage secondary school athletic trainers to evaluate their role in the advancement of athletic safety legislation.

Empower secondary school athletic trainers to quantify and articulate their value within the secondary school community.

Increase public awareness of key issues affecting the safety of interscholastic and youth athletics.

Foster community relationships by engaging with school administrators and community members through outreach programs.

Gather information and resources vital to secondary school athletic trainers in Colorado

Gather feedback from secondary school athletic trainers in Colorado to identify areas of need

Provide resources and support for secondary school athletic trainers to evaluate their role in the advancement of athletic safety legislation

Collect resources and develop tools to quantify and articulate athletic training value within the secondary school community
