The Colorado Athletic Trainers' Association is committed to cultivating trust, advancement, and responsibility within its membership. Through the dedicated efforts of the CATA DEI committee, we actively confront challenges related to ethnicity, race, religion, disability, socioeconomic disparity, and sexual orientation. Our primary objective is to serve as an educational hub, dedicated to elevating the standards of athletic training while championing inclusive growth and opportunity for all individuals across diverse backgrounds in Colorado

Implement a comprehensive DEI education program for CATA members through workshops, webinars, and resources covering diverse topics in athletic training.
Develop and promote strategies to enhance diversity in Colorado's athletic training programs by focusing on underrepresented groups and removing barriers to entry and advancement.
Implement cultural competency training for Colorado athletic trainers to improve inclusive and effective care for diverse patients.
Implement a mentorship program that connects experienced athletic trainers with individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to promote professional growth and leadership opportunities within CATA.
Build partnerships with diverse community organizations, schools, and healthcare institutions to promote athletic training as an inclusive profession and better serve Colorado's population.
