2018 CATA Annual Clinical Symposium will be held at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium in the West Club Lounge.

Directions

Heading South on I-25 

  • Take Exit 211 toward 23rd Avenue/20th Avenue 

  • Go straight through the traffic light 

    • It will seem as though you are getting back on I-25 

  • Keep right at the fork and take a left at the stop sign onto Bryant Street 

  • Just before you reach the stadium, take a right into Lot L (handicapped lot on the right). Drive through Lot L to Lot J. 

  • Park, based on available parking spaces, as close to Gate 3 as possible. 

 

Heading North on I-25 

  • Take Exit 210C toward 17th Avenue and follow the loop around until you reach a stop sign 

  • Take a right at the stop sign onto Mile High Stadium Circle 

  • Take a left into the first lot (Lot L - handicapped lot) you reach on your left, just after the stadium. Drive through Lot L to Lot J. 

  • Park, based on available parking spaces, as close to Gate 3 as possible. 

 

From Federal Blvd (heading both North or South) 

  • From Federal, turn East onto W. 20th Avenue (towards the Denver skyline) 

  • Take a left at the stop sign onto Mile high Stadium Circle. 

    • Turntable Studios will come up on your right 

  • Turn right at the stop sign onto Bryant Street 

  • Just before you reach the stadium, take a right into Lot L (handicapped lot on the right). Drive through Lot L to Lot J. 

  • Park, based on available parking spaces, as close to Gate 3 as possible. 

 

Once you Park in Lot J 

  • Walk toward the stadium to the West (right hand) side of the building, toward Gate 2 

  • Gate 2 is a smaller, double glass door entrance between Gates 3 and 1 

  • Once inside Gate 2, staff will direct you to the West Club Lounge 

Learning Objectives

 
The purposes of the CATA Annual Clinical Symposium is to enhance the knowledge of athletic trainers through presentations with a wide variety of topics to enhance and update their core competency skills. Secondly, the conference will give the participants the perspective on how AT fits into the broader healthcare landscape and their potential role. 

 

At the conclusion of the Symposium, attendees will be able to take the knowledge they have gained from the wide variety of lectures and workshops and apply them to their practices and workplaces to improve AT competency and patient care outcomes.  Specifically, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the advancement of healthcare as it relates to the five domains of athletic training.

  2. Explain what specifically affects the athletic trainers' immediate practice.

  3. Apply newly acquired knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

 

Attendees will be engaged through digital media as well as interactive dialogue.

 

Attendees will also have access to the power point files from the presenters at the Symposium as additional materials to enhance learning retention.  The outline of the program and presenter credentials are contained in the symposium schedule.

Onsite

  • Registration pickup begins at 6:30 am on May 12

 

  • Lunch is provided as part of your registration fee. 

 

  • It's a long day, please dress comfortably but professionally appropriate.

 

  • If your family travels with you to Denver, there are many things to do while you are in professional development.  The Downtown Aquarium and Children's Museum are a short drive away.  Ask a Board member for other ideas.

 

  • If you need fresh air, direct access to the bowl of the stadium is steps away from the lecture area.

 

  • Refund:  Submit to the secretary, will be given a full refund, minus a $10 admin fee.  Written cancellation notice required 24 hours prior to the start of the meeting.  No refunds given after the start of the meeting.
